pillowcase

I also decided it was time to make something for me. so i did a pair of pillowcases. Pretty arent they? think christmas.

 Also been doing a little quilting, my grandson went over the moon when he received this quilt. He lives in England and i live in the US. Missed out on a great hug!

The back of the quilt is fake fur, just perfect to snuggle in.

Miss Me! Never good a keeping connections. I have been busy so I will just post away.

 

I have been making a few things for selling, doll clothes

 These are them the back closure is plastic snaps, dont like velcro for this because it snags up the doll hair.

How do you like it?
it's about 30 x 30, cotton fabric and quilted. I put crystals in the eyes and in the star to accentuate them. some of the fabrics are sparkly and the star is metallic gold thread. It is now hanging on my wall, my husband thought we should keep it. but next fall it will go to the fair and be for sale. off to the next quilt. gotta get the animal one for my grandson finished for him for xmas.
also working on a table runner for thanksgiving, making a cape for fall and a tree top angel to stitch together.

It's Finished!

I love it! It came out so well. I added the binding and quilted all the green rectangles with a leaf pattern.

Next quilt I quilt will be a little different.

Really got to finish the jungle quilt next.

Hi again, I wanted to do an update of things I am working on.
First - is a large lap quilt. For a gift, hope she doesnt see it.

Its coming out well, I next need to quilt it. I will be doing it by machine on the seams and then quilting leaves in the larger blank blocks.

My husband asked if this was for us. So I need to find some interesting focus for him and make him a quilt for christmas. Maybe garden theme. Got to see what I can find.

I am also working on some doilies made from machine embroidery and aida cloth. They are about 8" wide. Very pretty, I have six designs and only one completely finished.





Next I am working on some quilt blocks for sale. See my Etsy link. Cute for Halloween. Nice to make into a wall hanging, tablerunner, even trick or treat sacks.

It's been 4 years!

I guess I am a person of few words. And knitting seems to have gone by the wayside for awhile.
Big new interest is quilting again but with a twist - I am embroidering them. And having fun with it too.

This little patch I made at the request of a friend of mine. She has a sign hanging on her door  that says "Peace"and when a certain person comes to visit, she flips it over. Sister Pat will sew this to the back of her original sign and give her visitor a big surprise.
The outside of the patch is a frame I made smaller, used it as an applique and added the love design in the center. I can't take credit for this but it did work out well.

This is one of 12 blocks I am making for a nap quilt for my grandson for this christmas. It will all be animal prints and baby wild animal embroideries. He should love it.
